Imagename: A Dioptrion in Brighouse
Image Description: Brighouse is pretty much dead centre of west yorkshire... and so the public roads feature a few old survivors. However, for a true relic I headed off road.

This finned Stanton column holds a GEC Dioptrion mounted side-entry (these lanterns have a dual spigot and so can be either side or top entry on specification of the end user) in the grounds of an establishment on the edge of the town. Lamp type is unknown, but will most likely be SON or MBF. The abscence of a photo cell means this is either remotely switched, group switched, or clock controlled. These will be the only photos of this installation that appear on this website.
(One image is bluured. however I didn't get the time to get an unbluured picture)

Thanks. The overhanging tree was a bit of an issue though.
