Imagename: | Future replacements for Burton Stone Lane |
Image Description: | 2 days ago I posted pics of numbers on the ground next to columns on Burton Stone Lane, York, as I believed these to be numbers for new columns to be installed. I was right.... Today, 5 or 6 new columns have been installed IMAGE 11 Image 1 is of an old cut and capped column numbered as 20D, whilst Image 2 shows the proposed location of it's replacement column, 15N, on the opposite side of the road. Image 3 shows how far the new column installation has got so far: up to the local shops. Image 4 is a column or two further up... and Image 5 is the code of the new location, confirming my previous speculation that the 'N' code was for a new column location... Image 6 is the old outgoing column, 26D, and so the 'D' most likely means "dead location", no new column in this position. Image 7 is the next installation, 20T, with the T likely standing for 'twin columns' - new column alongside the old column, a 1 for 1 replacement... with image 8 being the full installation. Image 9 is another twin coupling of new and old. Images 10 and 11 are of another twin installation, 22T, which was the second new column installed. |
