Imagename: | White Cross Of Death II:: The Cull of the Concrete's |
Image Description: | The numbers of columns getting flagged for removal is stacking up. This set of photos is from the Badger Hill area, and focuses just on Stanton 7 columns with TOP ENTRY Phosco P226 lanterns fitted. These lanterns haven't been adapted to fit but actually left the factory as top entry, so are quite rare. There was a very small number (less than 6) of other concrete columns marked for removal that didn't have a P226 fitted and so haven't been pictured. IMAGE 35 35 - Yarburgh Way, junction with Crossways. a second replacement is visible in the background, this is shown in image 36 36 - Yarburgh Way 37 - Vanburgh Drive 38 - Crossways 39 - Deramore Drive West 40 - Bishops Way 41 and 42 - Sussex Close. Image 42 shows the back of the lantern to show there is no side entry spigot cast into the canopy. 43 - Eastfield Court 44 - Eastfield Crescent 45 - Close up of one of these top entry P226's - note the extended drop rod and the visible grub screw for clamping the threaded entry pipe |
