Image Description: | lanterns in New Earswick due to be removed on the morning of sept 29, 2010 IMAGE 25 17 & 18 - Eleco HW828 round the back of station road 19 - Two eleco way's, a standard HW877 and a tall way HW1031/1179 on Western Terrace 20 & 21 - the HW877 on western terrace 22 & 23 - the HW1031/1179 on Western Terrace 24 & 25 - Eleco HW828 around the back (or front... I get confused, because the roads are at the back of the houses, and yet the fronts of the houses face walkways that then have street names) of Western Terrace. this looks to be timeswitch controlled, but due to the narrowness of the pathway, the removal will be done by skywinder and so may be spared for a day or two 26 - This will also be a skywinder job and so may be safe for a day or two. this lantern is a fresh dayburner, because it is a slave column fed by another column that was probably time switched. the master column now has a Jet installed and the feed to the slave column has been wired off the unswitched supply. there are one or two lanterns like this in the area at the moment as the Jets have their own cells and are not wired to group switch other columns - but once a Jet has been fittd to these columns then it won't matter if it's a slave column because the lantern will have its own cell. |
