Imagename: | Wheldrake Open Mercury columns, the end nears |
Image Description: | 6 out of the 8 columns have had their service transfers completed and the holes filled - the columns being completely isolated from their supply and the new columns with Thorn Jets having taken over illumination duties. The other 2 columns still have their excavations open for all to see, and the service cable can be seen going to the new column. There is also a 'please save' note attached to the ballast. Other images show the installations as they presently stand - with a new patch of tarmac around the base and no column door. |
