Imagename: York's last 4 Phosco P106's
Image Description: The sun is now setting on this rare breed of mercury lantern. The last of the bulk replacements of these lanterns has been finished, and now leaves just FOUR lanterns left for 'odd job' replacements.

IMAGE 2 OF 10

1 & 2 - This is the only P106 left in Strensall - this has an Opaque bowl, and will be replaced by a crew with the Skywinder, as the van cannot fit down this pathway
3 & 4 - A single P106 stands round a corner in Greenshaw Drive, Haxby (near Glebe Way)
5 - At Greenshaw Drive between Wheatfield Lane and Holly Tree Lane stand three forgotten mercury lanterns in a row. This GEC Z5674 is the first of the three. The bulk replacement in Haxby was apparently finished in March 2010 - so these lanterns must have not been on the inventory. In the background, the P106 of Image 6 can be seen
6 - this is the second of the three mercury lanterns in a row
7 & 8 - Third in this line of forgotten lanterns, this P106 stands at the junction of Greenshaw Drive and Holly Tree Lane
9 & 10 - The last of the forgotten P106's in Haxby. This one will have been forgotten because nobody saw it! It is situated on the edge a random and rather pointless patch of grass (only really just big enough for people to let their dogs poop on!) in a triangle between Ploughlands, Ryemoor Road, and Long Furrow. Notice the comedy hole in the hedge that is supposed to allow access to the column door!
