Image Description: Sleeves for the mass of concrete columns have been sourced, and it is likely that the massive number of top entry columns in Rawcliffe may have all ben sleeved by christmas or the end of the year.

& 2 - Eastholme Drive. As with most of Rawcliffe, this area was built up in the Post War 1940/50's time. The original columns were Stanton 7 concretes, but later on some have been replaced by these slimmer CU columns. These had more standard "over arm" type top entry brackets fitted... but now they have shiny aluminium sleeves and Thorn Jets, probably less than a week old. The new sleeves can be seen from the other end of the road, and the sunlight reflects of them rather notably!
- one of the side roads at the north end of the village, and this glass bowled GEC Z5580 and the three Thorn Beta 4's beyond are now on borrowed time. They may be replaced tomorrow (december 23rd)
- Shipton Road. This road had been lit by roughly 15 columns all in a line with mercury lanterns fitted. Most were glass bowled GEC Z5580's, with five Thorn Beta 4's at the south end... all are now gone and replaced with shiny sleeves and Jets
& 6 - This GEC Z5590 stands on Howard Drive near The Mitre pub, and is noteworthy because of its glistening perfectly clear bowl - no yellowing and no pellet holes or cracks.
