Image Description: IMAGE 1 OF 2

image 1 shows this line of Z8260's at llandudno Junction rail station. This platform is not used by mainline trains, and the installation of the Thorn Plazza bulkheads would suggest that the Z8260's are no longer used. They are on Abacus fold down columns, but there is a cable going from each column to the next which would make lowering each column a bit tricky.

image 2 shows a Z8260 at Betws-y-coed station. There are actually two of these at the station, but the other was being worked on as a bulkhead or floodlight was being wired in to spur off the other Z8260 on the same circuit. there is a wall mount NEMA photocell to switch these lanterns, and both are in fine working order with both 2ft tubes working.

There are remains of an Z8260 at Uckfield in East Sussex, the bowl and lamp have long gone but the canopy and coulmn remain in NSE colours. There is also a handful left at Selhurst rail depot which are being replaced by ZX3's.

I'm not sure if Portmadog station has any Z8260's left, but I imagine so.

I only saw porthmadog station from the level crossing so I can't really remember for sure. Don't think I saw any though, because if I had done then I'd have made a mental note.
A lot of stations in the north of Wales seem to use Phillips SGS202/3's... Even Blaneau Ffestiniog which is shared with a narrowgauge railway (strange station layout)
