Imagename: | York, untraceable location and unknown time |
Image Description: | This is from another 'public art photo', and is a bit of a mystery to me. This photo is shown in two parts for focus to be given seperate for the two streets. In the background is a road starting with 'Garden', which I believe may be "Garden Street" and in the foreground is a "Lime Street" with a notice stating the road has not been adopted by 'the corporation'. The problem I'm having is that Garden Street is located behind Lord Mayors walk, and has never had houses which look like this nor is it on a hill; and likewise there is NO Lime Street in York! This photo is not from the Hungate area, I don't think, because Hungate is by the river basin and so is perfectly flat. Anyway, the pictures shows some street celebrations going off, in addition to the gas-powered 'windsor' type wall mounted lanterns. |
