Imagename: | Cranbrook Drive Maidenhead - Mercury Post Tops |
Image Description: | This was taken earlier in 2016 and features something very unusual to see nowadays: near enough an entire street running mercury vapour lamps as a light source. The lanterns were post top cones that I don't recognise, but no doubt by names GEC, Phosco and others. Adjacent areas of this cul-de-sac ran SOX-equipped Gamma 6 lanterns while some were replaced with modern white light metal halide/cosmopolis. Something very special and rare to see in 2016, I made a special trip to see this and it surely delivered. |
