If you have a spellchecker you will have to put the names of some common lanterns and their manufacturers into it or else they will (annoyingly) be getting flagged up as incorrect all the time.

Will it not work like the spell checker on Word in the fact that when you run it you can add unknown words to the spell checker dictionary?

From another thread:

Without wishing to cause upset, could we please proof read the past couple of posts, as they don't fully make sense.

If you meant mine, I have now changed 'it' to 'is' [then to are]. I assume it was mine?

I'd rather just get told that I have made a mistake if an admin/mod doesn't correct it. Just so there is no faffing around. No upset caused.

Your posting wasn't the only one that didn't read comfortably, but all is corrected now, I've deleted the post I made, and we can sweep it under the carpet.

Thanks for everybody's commitment

Just want to say, thanks for getting rid of the 2 I made.

Been having internet issues when I was about to post but decided not to. When I hit F5, it posted anyway. Twice.

It happens on other forums too and is very annoying.

A lot of problems come too from wireless keyboards. You can be typing, probably quite quick, and somehow the processor in the keyboard doesn't keep up and so some characters are either omitted or transposed... or if the batteries are getting low you end up wih sme lettrs geting misd out!!
other times, especially for me, is that the fingers don't hit the keys properly and so two keys get hit at the same time.

(the spelling mistakes in one certain sentance are intentional!)

Or a really spongey USB keyboard that has been dropped on the floor a few too many times!

This is a reminder:

The site team are continuing to monitor posts for grammar/punctuation/spelling and will edit posts we feel have not been proof-read. This is to ensure UKASTLE's quality of service remains at a high standard. We urge you to proof read posts - please don't become too reliant on us editing them for you as these go on record. If you have any queries regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to PM me (the admin responsible for forum operations).

I know I said this a while back, but the next step in mazeteam's Continuing Site Development programme is to look into gaining a spell-check function.

Anyways, I am looking into a decent spell checker - and one that does ENGLISH spelling and not the 'lazy' american way (ie. color, honor, sulfur... etc)
