Hi all, anybody got any pictures of what they think are bad installations (combination of lantern, bracket and/or column combinations)... I thought I'd start a thread to gather the pictures here.

Let's start it off with a picture of a private installation...

How bad is that?! If it blinked on and off with a red light then it'd look like an airport light! Apparently, this is a temporary installation until the owner can source a decent post-top lantern...

It looks like a Z5590 but upside down!

Yeah we have some Gamma 6s in Lytham on 8m columns exactly like these! Some have been casually replaced by WRTL 2000s. I have always thought what a weird installation they are, surely something like a Phosco P179 or Thorn Gamma 3 would have been more suitable!

How quirky. It reminds me a bit of one of those GEC substation lanterns, which look a bit like inverted top-entry lanterns designed to light up the underneath of transformers.

I take it you mean the GEC5130 Clearspace?

I don't which one is the funnier... probably the first one of these, simply because they haven't fixed the dangling lampholder or the missing bowl, but just shoved a bulb in there!

It really is a strange installation. It'd be even funnier if there were a tungsten lamp in there!

The only thing similar to that round here is a Siemens SRL35 on a stub bracket on an 8m column!
