Fantastic! I do question how effective these actually were in reality though.

The under runway tunnels at Heathrow are undergoing a 2 year refurbishment that started in 2015.

For security reasons GSV doesn't show the central terminal area including the tunnels, but a good video showing the old fluorescent and SON lighting is here.

LED lighting is now installed in both tunnels where the old lighting was. It is in the form of linear arrays of LEDs.

This internet image appears to show the new lighting but at full power mode, during the daytime the LED modules are more distinct spots - almost like a single LED and much dimmer. Only alternate sections are lit - as in the left foreground - although it looks like the lighting can be continuous - see distance. The lighting on the right tunnel wall looks to be temporary.

Meanwhile on the northern perimeter road, some GEC SOX bricks still survive and are working. However the lighting is in poor condition with large sections of lighting (including SON sections) which are no longer working.

This internal road at Gatwick Airport is now lit with induction lanterns.

At Glasgow International Airport some of the internal distributor roads are lit with lighting from yesteryear.

For example Thorn Alpha 8 Mk3s. Some of these were dayburning with white light, surely MH/CDO-TT and not mercury...

Even better, some Thorn Alpha 3s.

The Northern Perimeter Road at Heathrow seems to be undergoing a column replacement scheme. New 8m columns with Holophane Vmaxes are being installed. The  5 and 6m columns with GEC bricks are now practically all gone, with just a few examples left by National Car Hire.

Within the central terminal area, discharge lighting has vanished. Its all either Vmaxes on new columns, or retrofits of Thorn R2L2s on older columns. Interestingly some 1960s Stewarts and Lloyd columns, still with original brackets, have been retrofitted.
