A small part of Stratford-Upon-Avon is home to an eclectic mix of heritage lighting. Each installation is unique and has been donated from a different Local Authority. I managed to take a picture of a damaged installation along a footpath through the park:
I'll link you GSV shots of the rest. Have ago at trying to match the coats of arms to the city, county or even country (I appreciate many of the plaques are a little blurred).
Start here and keep heading right along Riverside until you get to
this gem or
this rare one directly opposite. Lantern identifications are welcome.
Generally speaking, a lot of the columns/lanterns are similar in Riverside albeit in different colours. The mix is far more varied if you walk along the footpath in the park.
This example donated by Israel is one of the more unique installations! How about the
American donation? Or
this one from Brugge in a lovely shade of plum?
During 2010 the lampposts were temporarily removed for restoration as
this article explains.
