Or as the news article from the junction remodelling in 2003 had as headline, "the junction with 73 sets of traffic lights".

Column clutter was made worse by the decision to install 8m columns with ZX3 Zebras at the signalised pedestrian crossings beneath the 12m columns with ZX3s. Originally the ZX3s on the 12m columns ran SON whilst the ZX3 Zebras ran metal halide, but it's all just conventional LED fittings now. I don't know why they felt the need for zebra crossing lighting at something that wasn't a zebra crossing. I suspect and hope that when column replacements happen that they rationalise the number of columns, but this will probably be a good 20 years away.

Prince Mead car park Farnborough the could have used double on 4 columns instead of 7 columns. https://maps.app.goo.gl/PLRfxZnspRWpvnCf8?g_st=ic
One of the Thorn R2L2 was hit by car in 2017 not long after installation.

Some unknown globe street lights (ASDA owned) right next
the Thorn R2L2 installed during the extensions of the shopping centre
this was like that since 2017 when it was build. Only one of the globes worked and they have LED retrofits.

Here’s an example from my local area! Here, you can see about 4 columns plonked on the same side of the road, 2 of which are spaced unevenly, plus a zebra crossing with two columns diagonally opposite each other.

Biggs Lane, Arborfield, Berkshire has an overdose since the old colmns were never removed 5-6 years after installation. This also meant that a few Philips MA90 have survived as well as Iridums.
