Further east at Worthing  this MA60 which has escaped, probably helped by the tree.

In East Sussex, a stretch a couple of miles long with both central reservation, slip road and verge examples still survives at the Hove and Brighton interchanges.

This is the scene at the A2038 junction for Hove.

All these images are from a dash cam. I can't see these installations surviving much longer.

Well the MA60 at Worthing is still there, I had thought it had gone. Whether it still works is unknown.

Meanwhile on the A27 at Hove/Brighton, the SOX lighting has been partially replaced with a variety of SON and LED lanterns including some bracket surgery.

The A51 at Longdon south of Rugeley in Staffordshire has a stretch about 1 mile long still lit with Philips MA50s, 135W SOX. Dash cam image from today of one section.

The A46/A22 junction to the west of Stratford on Avon, is still largerly lit by GEC9565 180W SOX "bricks". I was a passenger but it took a few moments to understand what I was seeing and  get the phone out for a pic. This is the west side of the roundabout.

Nearest lantern has a tie wrapped bowl.

More here.

I probably could have mentioned this sooner, but last time I was over this way all the SOX had been replaced (that is, all that I went past, as I didn't drive the entirety of the installation).

There is at least one other that I'm aware of: Vincent Drive in Andover. MI26's with SOX lamps, very similar to those in your photo. At least part of the road is private so I suspect that explains the situation.

The estate around Cunningham Avenue and Dragon Road in Hatfield was build in the early and mid 2000s yet it still mostly SOX lit with Philips MI26,Philips MA90 and rare Philips Residium SOX. As well as a couple of probably SON Philips iridium. Judging by the the no parking signs, the estate was never adopted by the council since it was built but the street lights were installed to council specifications.
The newest street view is from 2022 but a couple of weeks ago you could see street view imagery from March 2023, which looks like Google has pulled it for some reason. https://maps.app.goo.gl/ruVDDtaQ5ebrAPLh7?g_st=ic

Interestingly the estate located just a bit north (Campion Road) was mostly adopted and had street lights replaced with the usual Hertfordshire council Axia 2 and Ampera but a couple of street including Daisy Drive and Clover Way still have SOX MI26.

Also the SOX lighting on the A1(M) still survives as of May 2023. https://maps.app.goo.gl/cz98PawmCDPcHQZU7?g_st=ic

Around Brooklands in Byfleet, Surrey a couple of streets including Sopwith Drive and Wellington Way are owned by Brooklands (so they have survived the Surrey PFI)and still have a variety of sox including GEC Z9554, GEC Z9454, Philips MA50 as well as some SON Indal Arc grey and Philips Iridium, which were used by Surrey council pre PFI.

As mentioned by me in a different post Badajos road in Aldershot aswell as the other  streets on the estate still have SOX MI26 but looks like a few failed ones were replaced by led. https://maps.app.goo.gl/BSushLdSDyU7wsR86?g_st=ic
Probably the biggest SOX installation left in Hampshire.

Pendeford area of Wolverhampton still has some rare SOX lights on concrete lampposts. https://maps.app.goo.gl/fyBhaEaW9Nm5FKej6?g_st=ic

Similar installation around The Parkway in Perton.

https://maps.app.goo.gl/2n8pfLgnR8RiBNS38?g_st=ic

Hawks green area in Cannock still has more SOX Philips MA https://maps.app.goo.gl/MCisTxDAwdEfmvGb9?g_st=ic

https://maps.app.goo.gl/ts7FJQ6C3BDiNdu76?g_st=ic

St Modwena Way Penkridge old GEC on concrete columns. https://www.google.com/maps/@52.7168055 ... 04&g_st=ic

More old SOX lights on concrete Thorn? Buckingham road Tamworth. https://maps.app.goo.gl/TUb3ruG7rpTiZk3c6?g_st=ic

County drive Tamworth Philip MI26. https://maps.app.goo.gl/Jqv9HXZUXb4HGaaA9?g_st=ic

Baswich lane Stafford has Philips MA.

Staffordshire as well as the west Midland especially Wolverhampton still have a fair bit Sox left here and there, but they’re being replaced by LED sadly. So be quick if you want to archive and photographs them. I recon they will be gone in the next few years at most.

Oakfield Place in Farnborough is still SOX lit.

Looks like the SOX on the bridge over the A27 still exists as of June 2023 street view, though it was not working back in February.

Almost certainly not adopted by the relevant local council. There is an estate in Basingstoke, now about 15 years old, which is in the same situation.

Is that Broadmere Road by any chance? I was not too sure about that as the last street view  going past it was in 2017 and the road hasn’t had any new street view since 2012. Hopefully that changes soon as google has busy updating imagery of roads that haven’t been photographed for years.
