Morrisons in Wokingham has quite an unusual lantern for a supermarket: Thorn Beta 79. https://maps.app.goo.gl/EtejULjYLuPNPThm9?g_st=ic

My local Morrisons car park is still lit with Abacus Antares running HPS lamps, although several examples were retrofitted with MH lamps some years ago. It’s quite surprising as many other Morrisons car park have switched to LED lighting in recent years, so I believe this is one of the last branches in the UK to still remain HPS.

I’ve even uploaded them to Lighting-Gallery. See here: https://www.lighting-gallery.net/galler ... pid=232016

Looks like this (dayburning) SGS203 in Malvern Shopping Park came with a free trolley!

A rather unusual sight here - a Thorn Gamma Basique and GEC Z5670 lighting The Range's car park in Burton-on-Trent! If you turn around, you'll see the access road to the retail park is lit by several other Z5670s too!

I think I may also have found the ID for those post-top LED flying saucer lanterns that now seem to be the standard for most supermarket car parks in the country - I think it may be manufactured by an Irish company called Veelite and called the 900 (please see link below):

Tescos at Marlborough have some of these LED "halo" lanterns. I've nicknamed them that as when they are on, it is just the outer ring that is lit.

Noticed today that these SON Holophane lanterns in my local Aldi/B&M/Pets at Home car park have been replaced with LED sphere lanterns, which is interesting, as I thought sphere lanterns had fallen out of favour due to the excessive uplighting that they create.
