Be even funnier if they were trialling it right outside the factory, with a control node on the column directly by the main entrance!

The towns of Twyford and Wokingham in Berkshire use NEMA cells with RF antennas fitted - similar to the system Royce Thompson used to have pictures of on their web page. However these cells didn't appear to be used everywhere in these areas - they appeared to be confined to the A321 in the town centres.

Both Durham and Gateshead are using the LeafNut system. Durham uses Koffer2s and MiniModenas and Gateshead uses Sapphires. All lanterns run MH lamps.

It seems that RF switching is now being used in Hampshire for new schemes/replacement works even in areas where the PFI has yet to reach rather than conventional photocells. One such example is in Fareham Borough where a new flyover has been built, another is in Andover at a roundabout improvement scheme. A master node has been fitted to one of the columns to control all lighting on the roundabout.

Not sure if I've said this before but all the lanterns in the Blackpool PFI are using RF switching.

Most of the lanterns being installed at 6m or less in Aber use RF and have little nodes on top. Oddly, the new main road lanterns going up still use photocells.  :?

In Wyre Borough it's the opposite way round to this with side road lanterns using minicells and main road lanterns using RF.

I take this is including the promanade from that mirrorball thing to Bispham, probably to somewhere below Cleveleys.

New areas of Bradford have radio switched lanterns. These were dayburning from their install.

I take it that Bradford Council has RF'ed the ring road? as none of the new lanterns (Sapphires) in Thorpe Edge have any nodes fitted, just a NEMA cell although it will a long time before I pass through there again.

I know Croydon has a few RF'ed as I went past about 3 weeks back.
