Someone has produced this lamp as part of a set and put it in the SketchUp 3D warehouse. I believe the collection was of lights that were found in the Netherlands.

It seems that you don't see many french produced lanterns in the UK. the only other french lamp[ I recall seeing in the UK was the THORN PILOTE.

It would hace been an early 1960s lantern. Although the Beta 5 was aslo around at the same time, by the mid 1970s the latter had taken over as Thorn's primary 35W SOX lantern, as it was probably cheaper to make and had less parts.

Almost certainly 35W SOX - SOI/H lamps haven't been around for almost 50 years, and I doubt the lamp hasn't been changed in that time.
