My 8 least favourite lanterns (in no order)

- Philips Iridium gen3 LED (It looks like an Iridium Mini gone wrong and it's absolutely hideous)
- CU Phosco P700 (My all time favourite lantern is the P567, and this is an insult to it. Thank god it's rare)
- Thorn Pilote (It's just ugly, especially when deep-bowled)
- Philips Residium (Ugly in my opinion. However I love the Libra!)
- Philips Selenium (Horrible. Just horrible)
- Thorn Gamma 2 (Ugly design)
- Urbis ZX4 (Mind-blowingly hideous)
- Thorn Triumph (Does anyone else think it looks a bit childish?)

UPDATE: - Urbis Ampera (Ugliest LED lantern I have seen so far)

My opinion only.

Funny I like the Thorn Pilote very much especially when it is mounted posttop.

Further I start to "hate" the Philips Urbanstar lantern. It is a LED lantern and ment to replace the typical conical posttop lanterns widely found in the Netherlands. In my honest opinion it looks like an alien on a stick, further I am not fond of organic designs in streetlights. A lamppost is not a tree.

This thing is becoming popular but in most spots the look out of place especially with modernist houses of apartment blocks

Further most other LED lanterns are not my favorites. Few exceptions, the LED version of the ARC, and the Libra and also now the Kegel 2000 are ok.

For me, it would be the Vectra, P678, ZX4, Iridium and Beta 79. Vecta and Iridium are too bulbous. ZX4 is too long. P678 is just plain ugly, as is the Beta 79.

Also, I like the SGS203. It's a nice little lantern.

I'm not a fan of P567As, they're fugly, they attract dirt and the bowls seem to cloud up on most of the examples I've seen.

some older designs, going back to before SOX and SON cobraheads, were also pretty ugly.

I have to say, I quite like the Urbanstar. It's quite unusual but quirky.
