I still miss it every now and then. Shame GEC didn't do a baby version of the ZD10547 that took a single 80w MBFU lamp!

Well the ZD815 is 58.4 cm in diameter and takes a 80w MBF lamp.

The ZD815 is the nearest saucer.

Where as the ZD10606 is 83.3cm in diameter.

It's close for the large rounded saucers... but I wish they'd made a baby angular saucer (hex/octagonal)

It looks really similar to the GEC saucer which I would have probably assumed it was if I'd seen it!  :D

The base spigot gives it away, when I first saw it I wasn't conviced it was a GEC one due to that. Sotonsteve provided the actual identification.

Not as good as Mike's Phosco catalogue entry on the P169, but Simon Cornwell's latest update also features the P169 and a vintage installation probably now long gone in Chigwell, Essex.

Some P169s at a leisure centre in Poole, Dorset, and a close up.

So they have an octagonal base casting... a bit like old style P106/P107's

Yep, Mike's catalogue shows that as do sotonsteve's and my pictures. That is the easy way to tell them from GEC Saucers. Although GEC did use an octagonal base on some of their side road saucers (which later got redesigned to "round" spigots), octagonal spigots were never used on the main road "round" saucers.
