Lancs CC have recently been busy in the Rossendale Valley replacing more main road SON and 5m concretes with this family of lantern which I haven't spotted before...

This pictured lamp is a spot replacement for a Stella that had gone dim and yellow.

The larger versions of this lamp have 4x the amount of LED and look somewhat boxy and clumsy - It looks something like a QSS.

Hi All,

This weekend I am in Milton Keynes and spotted some post top lanterns.  Can anyone I.d them. I think they are Philips but I'm not sure if the model.

Thanks for the Phosco,  there are rakes of these in Milton Keynes.

Here is another lantern I have spotted in Wetheral, a small village on the outskirts of Carlisle. Can anyone identify this post top?  It is designed to run a 55w SOX lantern and is just larger than a Phosco P178.

Regards,

Andrew.

The spigot suggests GEC, but it looks to be larger and with a shallower bowl than a Z5680. Perhaps it just has a different style of bowl.

It looks like a GEC ZD10864, although these could only take 35W SOX.

Hi Steve, Phosco, All,

Good news I have been lucky enough to save the unidentified post tops. The lanterns had been fitted with 35W SOX lamps and they just reached the wire support. I have done a pic of the lantern next to a Phosco P178 to compare the size, the Phosco is on the right.

Regards,

Andrew.

Are there any ID/model number marks inside?

Could it be a GEC ZD10864?
