Yes, but on a casual glance it's hard to tell the difference. USL, I think the closest Libra's to you may be on a newish housing estate up the hill from Shepley rail station along the main road.

There's one in Hartshed, 2.5 miles from Brighouse.

If anyone wishes to discuss the Libra further then anyone can open another thread purely for WRTL products or one dedicated to the Libra as this one is meant to be for Philips products!

Not surprised at others on here marvelling at the sight of the Libra, how superior it looks to the Residium. This is why I have suggested the Residium needs an update or new successor however an aluminium version is on its way but I feel underwhelmed by that.

Yorkshire seems to be a haven for side road fluorescent lighting that this never seems to have caught on down this way apart from West Sussex. This will be changing when the South Coast PFI scheme commences and the Surrey PFI is installing Libras.

I am still stuck with the awful mini Iridiums from the Dorset PFI as Cosmopolis is the way to go here that fluorescent lighting would have been a interesting change however luckily Dorset is next door to Hampshire so I can have a peek at the going ons of the South Coast PFI scheme!

I was intrigued by that pic of a Residium retrofitted on a sleeved concrete column in Barnsley displayed on Claire's Midlands Counties Streetlighting website, that to myself as a Southerner that is a rare sight!

Does anyone know whereabouts in Barnsley that pic is from so I could view this on Street View out of curiosity?

Is there anywhere in Yorks that Residiums are seen fitted on concrete columns?

Is the Leeds PFI installing any mini Iridiums as well?

There may be residiums on concretes in Leeds somewhere, just depends if it's a casual replacement as the PFI replacements take down the concrete column too.
Leeds, as far as I'm aware, are only using Standard Iridiums and Residiums.

Oh great, it seems Dorset may have the "luxury" of being the only PFI scheme in the country to install mini Iridiums unless anyone knows any other PFI scheme also using these!

Yep, mini Iridiums are also being installed elsewhere such as Kent for instance.

Firstly, Barnsley Residiums on Concretes:

Leeds is installing Mini-Iridiums on Concretes like this everywhere residential.
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&sourc ... 8,,1,-1.09

That area was done 2 years ago. Long before the rest of the area got done.

Main roads are getting these:

All the illuminated signs have been replaced with new LED ones now.

Stelmer,

Thanks for the links.

Those Residiums on the concrete columns - Wow, just wow! Crazy! Oops about that Residium looking lopsided behind the camera! Pity they didn't do anything like that down this way.

As for that link to mini Iridiums, I can't see any mini Iridiums on concrete columns! I have to say the ones in that Street View capture are not mini Iridiums as these are the small sized SGS252 types. Mini Iridiums are way smaller than these, have a look at page 13 of the SW England thread that you could see if Leeds definitely has these somewhere though mazeteam reckons there aren't any in Leeds he knows of so far...
