This new estate in Selby has them too... though in a slightly less offensive style of installation.

What a shockingly ugly installation!

I cannot speak for the rest of Kent, and apologies in advance for going off-topic, but Dartford is now a complete mess when it comes to side road lanterns, and all of the council's own making. I'd put money on there being even uglier installations somewhere in Dartford!

When I started Uni there in 1992, the vast majority of Dartford's side streets were lit with MBF GEC Z5590s and MBF GEC mini golf balls (I'm not sure of the code!), with some of the heavier-trafficked estate roads having SOX Eleco GR501s instead. All columns were painted the same dark green colour, and the town's estates looked neat and tidy as a result. In the few years I was there, the council embarked on a programme to replace their side road street lamps as the columns were rusting, but they seemed utterly incapable of settling on a favoured SON side road lantern. It looked like they were changing their mind every few weeks, and even street by street! Consequently, a dozen or so different SON lanterns have been installed in the intervening years - a programme of replacement that still continues to this day - and the town, regrettably, looks like a dog's breakfast as a result.

I think that is a WRTL Libra rather than the Philips Residium.

Ok.

They're all over South Yorks. There's an estate that is entirely lit with them in Rotherham and it looks excellent at night.

Yep, that's a WRTL Libra. Like a Residium, but better looking.

Indust is correct, it is a Libra. I've not seen them installed this way before - not too bad.

Thanks for that. I think it's a casual replacement for the original Beta 2's. I think it blends in superbly with the column and would like to see it elsewhere.

So the Libra is a a sort of blinged up Residium.
