Just spotted some white Industria (WRTL) Arcs at Berlin Tegel Airport. Very nice indeed!

It has been about 5 years since I spotted white Arcs in Malaysia and these still have yet to appear in the UK.

The standard colour of the Arc is usually dark grey however it could be specified to any colour such as black though white is pretty rare! Lighter silvery grey Arcs are being installed over in Dublin.

White Arcs could compete against the common white Iridiums and Sapphires.

I've always questioned why WRTL haven't produced white Arcs.

I am generally a fan of WRTL as a company and the lanterns they provide, mainly because they still sell a lot of older products such as the MRL 6 and PTL range. Also they have a lot of SOX lanterns, including modern ones such as the post-top friendly Iris and Delta.

I wish these two were used a bit more. Sure, they are both probably a bit dated now but the Delta would be a nice little compact lantern where a CFL lamp fits in there snugly. The Iris looks good, I know it's used in the north a bit but I prefer it to the Altra! :D

The Arc is an awful, glary lantern with a SON lamp inside too. I find the optics of the older Vectra far superior.

The Stela has gone 'highmast' (was going to put post top but it is manufactured as PT).

Highmast? Do you mean that round version that looks a bit like an LED Abacus Orion equivalent?

this is the thing, descriptions can be tricky as the whole series is manufactured for direct post-top mounting only... But this new version is what I'd call the "Stela 360", as it is more along the design of a conventional post-top lantern that gives off 360 degrees of light around the column.

I now want to see one of these installed!

Chris you've hit the nail on the head. The descriptions are a little difficult as the whole range is post topped. So I opted to say 'highmast'. I will apologies about the confusion.

Had a look in the description for the 360 and its actually called Stela Round - they should have called it the Stela 360 as it sounds more to the point.

They should also do a spherical one with colour changing LED's all around it... and the sphere turns slowl,y and it also plays old disco music!
