What lantern designs do you think have been recycled?  An example would be the Eleco ‘Way’ HW828 which recycles its design to the Urbis K-Lux.

The Urbis Opalo also partially borrows its design from the un-geared GEC Z8691.

What other lanterns also do this?

The DW Windsor copies the GEC Z5560, if it were fitted with a flat-bottomed bowl like is standard on the Revo Prefects in Dudley.

The single-optic Urbis ZX4 copies the GEC Brick

The Thorn Celest seems inspired by the Phillips MA range

That modern 21st Century design is really close to the Eleco design, hopefully time time the canopy and the bowls won't warp and crack as the Eleco ones do.

with any luck, the modern ones will have bowls of thicker plastic. The eleco ones are thick at the top for the canopy mountings, but thin out about two thirds the way down - and it's that point where the bowls are vunerable to cracking and getting holes in.

DW Windsor is notable when it comes to recycled lantern designs, and it has only gotten worse in the LED era. For example, the Kirium Pro is a copy of the Urbis Ampera and the Kirium Eco is a copy of the Urbis Axia 3 (in fact, both these lanterns were released on the same year!), while the Kirium Pro S looks like the ******* love child of the Philips DigiStreet and the Urbis Axia 3.

Zeta specialist lighting Smartscape Aspire

That’s not recycled that’s straight up reused design from the Schreder Teceo
Looks like Zeta doesn’t have the best designers If you look at Smartscape Nano & Macro so they had to copy.
Here are some on Saint-Cloud Way in Maidenhead.

Actually thought they were Teceos until I looked at Zeta’s website.
Holophane Syracuse/QSM and the Urbis Onxy do share a resemblance.
I believe the Onxy was first to arrive.
The Hardie Night Sight is just  an LED version of the Beta 5.
So definitely a recycled design.
