Well worth saving those given the condition is far better than that of the ones at my old school. The 25s look real nice on those high point like that.

The school contacted the landlord of the school for me and hopefully this will be more positive than my other attempts to get the lanterns.

Good news. That's progress in the right direction. Hopefully will yield a positive outcome.

Still struggling to get a Beaufort. No luck as yet. I'm keeping at it either at my old school or Dunfermline in Fife

I have been trying to save a Beaufort 25 in Dunfermline and there were 2 on a paticilar street. One was replaced without my knowledge and therefore made it extremly clear how important it was to get the 2nd one.
It has now been replace with no reply to any emails! I am not happy with South Fife as a result! My impression from them was I would get it when removed. Not so. I'll contact them Monday for an explanation.
Hopefully it's just they've kept it, though have my doubts.

Oh no! That's not good. I didn't get any response from that guy either when they were dropping the Elecos on the B981. I do know of at least one Beaufort in Kirkcaldy, but there are no signs of any work taking place there any time soon. Fife Council are on a major spending review, and I get the impression that streetlighting projects not already financed are going to be put on hold.

Edit - Is this what you're looking for?

That is nice and worth saving though it's the Beaufort 3 or 25 I'm looking for. I'm going to email my contact(s) on Monday about the replacement

The Dunfermline Beaufort 25 has been saved!
The guy made an error and though it was scrapped but was actually kept safe for me! I can now relax after all that hard work and stress lol! It paid off to get it!

I will post photos when I get it. I'm just arranging collection with a mate who has a bigger car. Can't wait!
