Hi I have a NOS Philips XCS 103 35W SOX Lantern that was made in September 2000 which I am going to show next year with my stationary engine powering a generator at steam and classic car and tractor rallies does anyone know what years was the production for this lantern kind regards Bob

In Hampshire, I think they started installing the MI26 (which was the old name for the XGS103) in 1989. Late 1980s is certainly approximately the right period of it starting in production, though it only really started to be seen from the early 1990s onwards. As for its discontinuation, a search on this forum indicates it disappeared from the Philips website in 2014.
