Well after almost 6 months, works have moved back to Farnham and the north of the town. Upper Hale Road has been relit with the "standard fare" of 5m columns with 55W Libras. The side roads off this road were similarly equipped back in the summer. I did wonder if Upper Hale Rd had been left as it was going to get 8m columns and Cosmo Arcs, but only a few have been installed at the Alma Lane junction.
What was impressive was around 60 new installations installed in the last 6 weeks, with just a few Beta 8s remaining on pole mounts. Shame the south coast PFI doesn’t work as fast. Around 15 columns were lantern swaps (which has seen the demise of around 10 Iridiums
) rather than complete new columns.
What wasn't so impressive was around 10% of the Libras day burning - probably due to duff nodes or not being "mapped" to the central computer - rather than lack of signal - as the dayburners were in random locations and adjacent columns weren't dayburning.
