Been out and about in Leeds today. There's still some gems to be found out there.
First is this:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source= ... ,,1,-13.83It may be a GR150/200 but this evening, I saw the column from the slip road behind it with the lantern lit. The refractors let no light out the sides and the bowl appears wider at the bottom. It reminded me of the Rotherham SLI's.
I've been under that loads of times. It is noted as being a special lantern - but I don't know what it is!
Secondly:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source= ... ,,0,-15.09I was surprised to spot the nostalgic glow of SOX through a cloudy bowl. This is a gem, last one in Leeds that I know of and I may attempt to save it. Anyone know what it is?
Looks like a Phosco P152 or similar. It's either a Phosco or Eleco (as their designs can be similar), as there are similar ones in Norton on Derwent.
Thirdly:
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source= ... ,,0,-15.25What's that poking out of the top of this bus I wonder?
Possibly a Revo Dalek. The bus is worthy of note too: K9 YCL - it was THE FIRST Alexander Royale / Volvo Olympian ever to be produced, and this was the first generation initial prototype. It was built for Yorkshire Coastliner (hence the registration YCL), and was notable for having one-piece front windscreens and upsweep front window wipers (as opposed to 2-piece split windscreens and side-sweep wipers on later versions). In it's Coastliner days, it also carried a large silver and blue crown motif on the radiator grille, and the word ROYALE emblazoned along the rear. Sadly, it no longer sports the original features that made it unique (as replacement parts have been required over the years), and so only the registration marks it out as different.
Another one:

Looks like it may be a GEC Z9450, the elderly precursor to the popular Z9454/64 series

Over here, I have only made sporadic checks over the last few days. My mum is off this week and so I'm hoping this is a quiet nothing-doing week, including friday which is my sign-on day and also exactly 4 weeks since the first of the Wheldrake columns were pulled out.
