I was looking around the area my hotel was at Naples, when I find this.  I thought the cobra head was one of those lanterns only found in America  . I also noticed that some of the columns on Corso Umberto  where fitted with Furyros that didn't work.

Half of the historical columns had been knocked down and dull tapered columns with more cobra heads had been installed! This blocky turtle is about to be replaced by a post top Iridium according to GSV, which is odd, because when I was there, the whole street appeared to be lit with these

I believe this is also an American lantern because it is used here but with a deep bowl. I also think that these are the old mercury version of the Kingswood Mercia on an old fashioned fluted column.

PS If your wondering why the search bar says "Poole", it's because I was looking at the southwest discussion earlier. ;)

Recently I've been wondering who manufactures cobra heads, as lived in America for 6 months last year.

Albany CA, has installed LED lanterns resembling Luma lanterns, but three SOX lanterns cling on! :)

Here are some gear-in-shoe MA50s in La Ronge, SK. I didn't know they had Philips in America, though I might be wrong.

I've seen a picture of the Philips MA series in Canada before, although they were never all that common. I am not aware of any across the border in the USA.

Schreder lantern possibly? I have seen that symbol on the front somewhere before possibly on an old ZX1.

It is a Schreder HSB fitted with two 125W mercury lamps.

Some interesting "heritage" LED versions are mentioned in the article.
