In St Andrews, they've installed some flashy new lanterns that I haven't been able to recognise.

But, still surviving nearby, are some of the unmistakable alpha 4s!

Trying to find out the name of the older ZX3 style lanterns that were used up in Glasgow and made the rounds on here a few years ago?

I would like to see if one is in a collection/can be saved for a collection?
Cheers
Nick

The one in the picture minus the bowl is an Alpha 8, but the one in the GSV link is unidentified. I have seen these out towards the west of Edinburgh. I'm not sure what they are.

It's the one in the link that I am after, they do resemble MKII Alpha 8s.

I know they've been seen abroad as another enthusiast had a photo of one on their website - I can't find the website now though but I think I remember seeing 'Vlux' which may have been the manufacturer.
