M27 J12 has seen more Lumas removed recently, presumably following more safety checks given the design flaw which causes them to fall from columns. Lanterns are missing from the twin bracket columns on the central reservation, as well as the single bracket columns on the link/slip roads.

At J12, the entire westbound on slip from the A27/A3 roundabout has had its Lumas removed, a distance of around 600m. The column nearest the overbridge from the roundabout, has been chopped above the door, and there are works in the verge for the entire distance of the lanternless columns.

There is a noise barrier being put in, so the existing columns are going to be replaced.

Where a new noise barrier is being put in at Port Solent on the M27, new aluminium columns have been installed. A first for this part of Highways England's network, Phosco P860-series lanterns have been installed, rather than Holophane V-Max lanterns.

On the M27 at J4, lighting installations have started to appear on the slip to the M3 north, replacing lighting removed last year. Dash cam image of start of new aluminium columns, behind blue/white lorry on left.

Further along, more aluminium columns, original lighting columns - originally with ZX4s, but now Lumas, are behind the bridge in the background.

The same style of new columns have now appeared on the M3 to M27 EB link at the merge and the 2 lane section of the M27 EB prior to the M3 merge.
