Prepare to cringe. These fake heritage installations have gone up in Ashwell since the last time I visited which was about 3-4 years ago. I'm not convinced about the colour co-ordination myself...

I'm not sure about the paint job - it looks like they ran out of paint on the column and so went to B&Q to get a bucket of green for the bracket and lantern! The lantern's bowl is too big and makes it appear like a giant coughtrie wellglass fitting of some sort!

Looks unusual but are the rest the same or is it just this lantern and bracket.

The bracket looks like it has an undercoat on but not its proper coat of paint as the column has.

Here are the horrible fake "heritage" lanterns found at Bristol Temple Meads station.

I really hoped the day where I had to admit that there was a worse lantern out there than the Albany, would never come...

A fairly rare find in East London, especially given the fact that it is heritage on concrete:

Part of me says it's a P109, part of says P111, but to be honest, the size and the base casting doesn't match either!
Strange to see it on concrete (some P111's in the village of Wheldrake were like that on the main street)
