I believe the lantern that you think is an Alpha 3 is a large shoeless version of the GR70. It is hard to tell in your pictures but in think that is it

A GR70 is a side road GRP lantern. The lantern is in fact an Eleco SR304/5

Well as I say I apologise for the quality but yeah, I had trouble identifying this as well.

Dalston is a little Village just outside of Carlisle. The area was once illuminated by Beta 4 lanterns with mercury lamps.

There are some "left over" lanterns that have been forgotten about. There are 3, Beta four lanterns in the village center, two of them have their bowls intact, the other has it's bowl missing but it's refractor ring is still intact.

Wouldn't mind that refractor ring for my Beta 4!

An abandoned Beta 5 attached to what's left of hospital grounds. I'll get more pictures soon, but this was the most interesting. Also this lantern was fully intact last year...

These open incandescent lanterns that once graced Glasgow's streets. Became interested in these when I saw them in the background of a family photo from 1966, but on the same street lamp brackets and posts that are used today. Now only a few remain and I spotted these randomly from the train. A fellow enthusiast posted the GSV link on Sabre which helped me find them.

Location: Salisbury
This long abandoned 25ft column on the south bank of Lambeth Bridge in London, opposite Lambeth Palace is slowly decaying away.
